The 17th World Sokol Slet is behind us. The slet began on Sunday, June 30 with a parade of 17 Sokol and gymnastics organizations from around the world. The Sokols marched through the most representative streets of the Czech capital. After the parade, the Slet participants could attend mass in the Prague Cathedral of St. Vitus. Then, on Tuesday, the Sokol Gala took place at the O2 Arena, during which the sports disciplines practiced by Sokol and Sokol history were presented in an attractive way. The culmination of the slet was the performances at the Fortuna Arena stadium on Thursday and Friday, July 4 and 5, in which thousands of Sokol members took part. All slet participants could take part in additional events, including training, exhibitions, and performances on the streets of Prague. This was an extremely important event for the integration of the Sokol movement after the period of the COVID-19 epidemic, which greatly limited cooperation. The time spent together allowed for the preparation of plans for the future of the entire Sokol movement.
