On July 6, 2024, a new board of the World Sokol Federation was elected in Prague. Dr. Damian Małecki from Poland was elected president. Robert Tmej from Canada was appointed first vice president, and Martin Chlumský from the Czech Republic was appointed second vice president. Joe Bielecki from the USA, Dušan Gerlovič from Slovenia were appointed members of the auditing committee. Petr Svoboda was elected director of men, and Eva Řibřidová (both from the Czech Republic) was elected director of women.
The general assembly began at 10:00 on Saturday, July 6. The World Sokol Federation general assembly was held in the historic seat of the Czech organization (Tyršům dům). The meeting lasted over six hours. Several decisions were made at the meeting, which are important for the future of the WSF. Not only was the new WSF board elected, but also the necessary changes were made to the WSF by-laws (proposed by delegates from the USA and Austria), which will provide greater control over the organization and efficiency of decision-making. At the same time, new joint initiatives for the future were proposed, which will bring all members of the federation closer together.
