The journey of br. Damian Małecki, President of the World Sokol Federation, across Canada and the USA has officially begun. During this trip, he will visit members of the World Sokol Federation throughout both countries. His first stop is Winnipeg, where he is visiting polish Sokol Winnipeg.
In the Manitoba Legislative Assembly, President Małecki was warmly welcomed by the Speaker and MLA Ron Schuler. He observed the proceedings from the gallery and, following an official greeting, the entire chamber honored him with a standing ovation. He also had the opportunity to meet and speak with many Manitoba politicians. He was accompanied by Marian Jaworski, President of Sokol in Winnipeg, and Ryszard Kapała, member of the board of Sokol in Poland. It was a truly exceptional and moving moment of recognition for his many years of dedicated service to the Sokol movement.
Official Visit Schedule:
May 27 – June 4 (Canada): President Małecki is staying in Canada until June 4th. On his final day in the country, he has a scheduled meeting with Robert Tmej from Sokol Canada and will also participate in a special ceremony at Niagara-on-the-Lake.
From June 4 (USA): Following his time in Canada, his official visit to the United States will begin, where he will be visiting several key organizations: the Slovak Gymnastic Union Sokol of the USA, the American Sokol Organization, and the Polish Falcons of America. 🇺🇸
June 6–7 (Pittsburgh): An official meeting will take place in Pittsburgh.
