The World Sokol Federation is an international non-governmental organization founded on 31 January 1994 in Prague. It unites Sokol organizations from around the world in the spirit of the ideals started by Dr. Miroslav Tyrš in 1862.
Our mission is mutual cooperation, support of all member organizations, spreading Sokol ideas and helping to establish or re-establish Sokol units wherever there is interest. In practice we coordinate activities and provide mutual assistance.
Today the Federation associates 14 Sokol organizations from 18 countries and has approximately 250,000 members worldwide (as of 2026).
