From June 19–22, 2025, the city of Brodnica hosted the XI Sokol Slet, organized by the Sokol organization in Poland. Around 1500 of participants gathered, including representatives from Polish units nationwide and international delegates from the USA, Canada, Slovenia, Lithuania, and Austria. The event marked a triumphant return after 19 years, blending sport, culture, patriotism, and global Sokol unity.
Highlights included:
Grand parades and mass calisthenics performances at the OSiR stadium, featuring joint gymnastics, Aikido, acrobatics, pyramids, and shooting demonstrations.
Exhibitions: “Strengthen Your Arm – Serve the Fatherland. History of Polish Sokol in America” and “Unity is Strength”.
Sports competitions: artistic gymnastics (over 200 youth participants), table tennis championships, Nordic Walking, beach volleyball, athletics, shooting and more.
Awards: Zaszczytna Odznaka Sokoła presented to numerous distinguished members.
Cultural program: folk dances, music performances, and an international conference on Sokol history.

A special highlight of the Slet was the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Světový svaz sokolstva – World Sokol Federation (WSF) in 1925 during a historical conference. The anniversary was celebrated with a dedicated ceremony, speeches and reminding everyone of the global mission of the Sokol movement.
The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and pride in Sokol traditions in Poland. Key speeches emphasized the movement’s historical role in Poland’s fight for independence and its modern mission. Special thanks to the entire organizing team for this unforgettable Sokol festival!
